Vuity are FDA-approved eye drops specifically designed for presbyopia in adults.
A daily first-line treatment, efficacy, safety, and tolerability!
How does VUITY work?
VUITY contracts the iris sphincter muscle, constricting the pupil to improve near and intermediate visual acuity while maintaining some pupillary response to light.
VUITY also contracts the ciliary muscle, and may shift the eye to a more myopic state
What is VUITY indicated for?
VUITY is indicated for the treatment of presbyopia in adults.
How is VUITY dosed?
The recommended dosage of VUITY is one drop in each eye once daily. If more than one topical ophthalmic product is being used, the products should be administered at least 5 minutes apart
What is the duration of action of VUITY?
Please see the results from the GEMINI 1 and GEMINI 2 clinical trials.
What if you use other topical eye therapies?
If more than one type of topical eye therapy is being used, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart.
Can VUITY be used with contact lenses?
Yes. However, contact lenses should be removed prior to the instillation of VUITY and patients should wait 10 minutes after dosing before reinserting them
What were some of the side effects of VUITY?
VUITY was evaluated in 375 patients with presbyopia in two randomized, double-masked, vehicle-controlled studies (GEMINI 1 and GEMINI 2) of 30 days duration. The most common adverse reactions reported in >5% of patients were headache and conjunctival hyperemia. Ocular adverse reactions reported in 1–5% of patients were blurred vision, eye pain, visual impairment, eye irritation, and increased lacrimation.
